About Alpha Insurance

Alpha Insurance Agency was formed in 2001 by Lee Orr who began working very closely with the real estate industry, providing continuing education classes for industry organizations as well as smaller seminars for realtors/brokers on insurance and its importance to a closing.  

He became the local expert on flood insurance and was known as the flood guru.  Alpha’s staff excels in researching and obtaining the best possible flood prices which enables  many real estate transaction deals to close.  The agency was honored as the “Flood Insurance Agency of the Year” in 2002. 

Mr. Orr died in an auto accident in 2011 and current management has continued with the staff to provide the same insurance services.   Since March 2012, current owners Bryan Duplantier, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, and Kathy Dutsch, along with a staff of ten, personally work hard to go beyond just quoting to truly help you understand the insurance purchase process. Our experience and knowledge is what makes us different.

 We operate in Old Gretna at 831 Lafayette St. in a historic building that is as unique as our operation.  Our agency utilizes cloud-based technology and supports ongoing continuing education to assure that we are on the cutting edge.  We are locals with the knowledge to get you a good value for your dollar while meeting your insurance needs.  We provide multi lines coverage for personal and business needs through our fully admitted markets as well as through our surplus lines carriers. 

 We are open Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM and on Saturday by appointment.  You are welcome to come meet us or to visit us for any of your insurance needs.
